Information for Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

What if I am not able to return to Australia to continue my study due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions?

We encourage all International students to contact their Education Provider to discuss their options of studies including deferment to next semester if returning to their home country is not possible.
For further information about changes to your student visa, please visit the Department of Home Affairs for up to date information.

What if I need to change the dates of my OSHC?

If you have purchased your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) through your institution or an education agent, please contact them directly for assistance with amending your start and end dates to your policy.

If you have purchased your OSHC policy from our website, you will need to contact Vision Consultants with your new dates, so we can update your details.

We will make the necessary changes and re-issue the Certificate of insurance.

Is there a limit on how many times the policy dates are changed?

There is no restriction on how many times you amend your policy date.Remember, your OSHC policy is valid from the date that you arrived in Australia. It must match you visa end date and you must have continuous cover.

Does my OSHC Cover provide COVID -19 (Novel Coronavirus)?

We have received advice from Allianz OSHC, the following:
Cover is out there to AGA OSHC policyholders for medical services provided in hospital and out of hospital, including PBS prescription medicines and emergency treatment*.
*Limits, exclusions and terms and conditions apply. Please note that waiting periods may apply for treatment for pre-existing conditions.
